As a physician, Michael Omidi, MD has always had a soft, caring heart for people, their health and well-being. This is why stories about like-minded folks who routinely respond to the needs of others have always fascinated him. Providing these everyday heroes with the deserved recognition and honor is the reason for Civic Duty, a charity he co-founded with his brother Julian Omidi.
Everyday heroes are all around us. They are our friends, neighbors, and family members who through acts of kindness and generosity make the days and sometimes the lives of others just a little better, easier, and brighter. The mission of Civic Duty and the Omidi brothers is to increase the awareness today’s of everyday heroes and celebrate their contributions, both large and small, toward improving life on this earth.
According to Dr. Michael Omidi, “Benevolent acts come in all shapes and sizes and their impact may be small or large. They may benefit deployed U.S. troops, impoverished children in developing countries, or homeless families across America. Whatever their passion, I am thankful for these self-less people and their caring attitudes and actions.”
